About me.

I create resources and facilitate events to help people engage with LGBTQIA+ affirming theology in a healthy, authentic, and liberating way.

Being a part of these Bible studies helped me see a side of my faith that I'd never seen before. As an almost-30 gay man that grew up in the church, going to church camp, and praying at every meal and before every trip... I genuinely thought I'd heard it all... Nothing was ever new, it was always instilling fear instead of love. These studies allowed me to embrace rather than push away how I felt about churchy discussions. And I couldn't be more thankful for them!

As someone who researches the role of education in affecting communal change, I know that how you teach is just as important as what you teach. Not only does Lindsey Kelley provide well-researched, deeply insightful lessons, she leads her studies in a student-centered way, inspiring critical consciousness, creativity, and collaboration — the hallmarks of an empowering education. I believe religious communities have a similar potential to schools for fostering changemakers; may we look to leaders like Lindsey to actualize that potential.
